iPhoto lets you create brilliant slideshows that you can customise any way you want. The slideshow feature includes plenty of themes and layouts you can use to give your finished show a professional look. There are even animated themes to work with if you prefer.
The good thing about using iPhoto for making slideshows is the automatic face detection sensor. Any shot you have with people in them automatically centres and frames the faces it finds.
You can also use the Places app to add a location to each photo. iPhoto will then let you create a slideshow that features a map of where those shots were taken. Your show can then jump from location to location on that map, showing photos taken at each spot.
Photo Effects
Some photos just look so much more dramatic in black and white. Likewise, some seem incredibly romantic when recoloured in sepia tones. iPhoto features both of these options.
Facebook Integration
Uploading the photos you take to your Facebook account is much easier with iPhoto. You have the option of uploading them to your wall, or you can choose to add them to an existing album. If you also use the Faces app and have already added names to any of the photos you’re uploading, iPhoto will automatically convert those names into corresponding Facebook name tags.
Flickr and Twitter Integration
iPhoto will even let you upload your pictures to your Flickr photo stream or your Twitter account quickly and easily.
The iPhoto app is available for iPad 2 or later versions and iPhone 4 models and later, including the iPhone 5.

Apple have revealed a new iPhone 5 app turns your iPhone or iPad into a complete orchestra and recording studio. Now you can play along to your favourite tunes, or create your own at the tap of a screen! Let’s have a closer look at Garage Band.
Touch instruments
Garage Band turns your Apple device into a range of musical instruments you then play with your fingers. Sit behind a full rock drum kit, or pluck the strings of an electric guitar. The instruments are touch sensitive, so you’ll hear a different tone and texture depending on how hard you tap the screen.
Most people can tap out a beat with a “virtual drum kit” but how about playing string instruments? Surely you couldn’t play a coherent tune if you can’t play the guitar, violin, or double bass? Well, with Garage Band you can because all it’s string instruments are chord based and run by smart technology. Instead of playing individual notes, when you hit a string you’ll hear a full chord which then goes nicely in sequence with whatever you touch next.
Slide your finger up to create exciting crescendos, or slide your finger down to create soft lulls. You’re in complete control, even if you can’t really play a note!
Your own complete recording studio
There’s no point in coming up with your own chart topping hit if you can’t record it. Garage Band comes with it’s own recording studio so you can lay tracks as you go, edit them so they sound exactly as you want them to, and then save them so you can amaze your friends and family. Imagine the look on your friends faces when you tell them that funky track they were all dancing to was created by you on your iPhone!
